Who is the BAIO aimed at?
The BAIO is the ideal pedal for those who need a small, lightweight, easily transportable, internal battery-powered device with professional sounds and wired (USB) and Bluetooth connections to take with them to the rehearsal room, on the road during a tour, to use as an audio interface to fix musical ideas or to record videos and reels directly from a cell phone.
BAIO A and BAIO B are new 2023 multi-effect pedals by Eko Guitars. Respectively indicated for acoustic or classical guitar and electric or acoustic bass, the new BAIOs are designed to offer the sonic images of the best miked acoustic guitars and the most iconic bass amplifiers, in a very small chassis complete with all the functions and effects that the beginner, professional, and content creator can need.
You will have a preamp section with three-band eq, compression and antifeedback. The modulation section, accessible via the Mod control, allows you to add chorus or tremolo; delay and reverb are activated by the appropriate knob, delay time and reverb amount adjustable by the Time knob. The IR control allows selection from eight Impulse Responses created especially for BAIO by Massimo Varini, who chose and adapted some of the best DrapSound-branded IRs.
It features a preamp section with Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble and Compressor controls. Below we find the modulation potentiometer with which you can select and adjust either the chorus or the phaser. Next is the delay effects knob where you can select the reverb or delay and, thanks to the separate TIME control, adjust the decay of the reverb or the speed of the delay repeats. Finally, the IR section with 8 famous bass amplifiers.
With nine types of preamplification selectable and controllable with the Tone and Drive knobs, you'll have access to as many timbres ranging from crystal-clear cleans to heavy distortion. The modulation section, accessible via the Mod control, allows you to add chorus or phaser; delay with associated tempo, repetition, amount and reverb effect management can be accessed with the Delay, FB, Mix and Rev knobs, respectively. The IR knob allows you to select from eight Impulse Responses created especially for BAIO by Massimo Varini, who has selected and adapted some of the best ChopTones-branded IRs.
