An uncompromising series based on a selection of woods from all over the world. WOW, acronym for Wood Of the World Series, but also the exclamation of those who see these guitars for the first time, represents the top of the range of the EKO catalog.

Each individual guitar is unique and each wooden part is selected from a wide range of fine materials such as Cocobolo, Ovangkol, Koa, Rosewood, Sapele and others. The whole WOW series is All Solid, therefore, with top, sides and back in solid wood, the nature of the wood is enhanced in favor of a particularly specific tone.

The master luthier, Roberto Fontanot, following Massimo Varini's "requests for sound characteristics", carefully selects the woods of each instrument to create masterpieces that will be the joy of every single musician. An entirely ALL SOLID series with a variety of woods used for sides and back, different in each single guitar, where each instrument expresses completely different characteristics in terms of sound.

The models of the WOW series are distinguished from each other both in shape and in the choice of woods on the top, sides and back. The shapes are Auditorium and Dreadnought and below are the varieties of woods:

Wow 018 SC: top in Solid Spruce, sides and back in Solid Cocobolo
Wow 018 SO: top in Solid Spruce, sides and sound in Solid Ovangkol
Wow 018 SK: top in Solid Spruce, sides and back in Solid Koa
Wow D800 and SS: top in Solid Spruce, sides and back in Solid Sapele
Wow D800e SR: top in Solid Spruce, sides and back in Solid Rosewood
Wow A800e CR LTD: top in solid cedar, sides and back in solid rosewood
Wow A800e SZ LTD: top in Solid Spruce, sides and back in Solid Ziricote

Regarding the electronics, the beating heart of this series is the Fishman Flex Blend system: formed by piezo and internal condenser microphone, this system allows you to grasp every nuance of the guitar thanks to the possibility of gradually adding the signal picked up by the microphone to the piezo signal. , by means of a “blend” potentiometer. Among the controls, in addition to the output volume and the blend, there is a tuner on the display (activated by pressing the volume potentiometer) and an EQ control that works in "mid-scooped" mode: kept to a minimum the signal is not equalized ( flat), increasing gradually reduces the mid frequencies in favor of low and high frequencies, very convenient for obtaining a sound “ready” for the mix. In the event that the guitar should have feedback problems, a very common situation in the acoustic field, it is possible to invert the phase by pressing the EQ potentiometer.
